Coriolis Mass Flowmeter

01/19 - 01/23

The structure of Coriolis Mass Flowmeters consists of an inclined (bent) flow tube pair. Its working principle is to detect the Coriolis force exerted on the flow tubes by the internal mass flow of the liquid.

The Coriolis force can only occur under 2 conditions:

1- Normal frequency vibration on inclined flow tubes,

2- Liquids flowing in the pipe.

This force; It is produced on the synthesis of the vibration force and the force exerted by the fluid flowing in the tubes. The flow tubes will vibrate at the  symmetrical centerline thanks to the applied force. Displacement sensors located on both sides of the tubes will detect the applied force and generate an electrical signal. These signals are regulated and the mass flow is directly detected.

Coriolis Mass flow meters can be used in DN3 - DN100 pipe diameters range. Advantages of Coriolis Mass flowmeters:

-  A simultaneous and direct measurement of mass flow, density, temperature and viscosity is made.

-  Fluid has a measurement principle independent of its physical properties.

-  It has very high measurement accuracy.

- Not affected by the  Stream profile.

- No inlet/outlet straight pipe distances required.

This measurement method is used in pharmaceutical, chemical/petrochemical, fuel and gas, food and general trading applications, especially in processes that require high measurement precision.
